In Chile, 64 decrees support the rights of the planet Earth
See GalleryGovernment authorities of the Republic of Chile issued 64 decrees during the months of August, September, October and November 2018, with the objective of supporting the Proclamation of the Constitution for the Rights of Mother Earth.
Mayors of the regions of Araucanía, Valparaíso, Maule, Bio Bio, De Los Ríos, Maule, Antofagasta and Los Ríos, welcomed volunteers from the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), who presented the environmental proposal to the governments , with the aim of promoting an environmental awareness in the citizenship.
The delivery of the decrees was attended by authorities and personalities of the different municipalities of the nation, activists for peace and civil society. (See: List of assistants in the delivery of decrees).
The GEAP continues taking this proposal to all the cities of the country, so that Chilean society learns to protect, preserve and restore nature.
The leaders who have received this approach from the GEAP committed to inform and educate citizens from schools and through the media.
