At the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology (UMECIT), under the project ALIUP, the First International Seminar "Challenges of Higher Education for Human and Society Development", was carried out. 

With the objective of constructing a culture for peace through education, the ALIUP continues creating academic encounters in different nations for the collaborative elaboration of plans, programs and project proposals that can enrich the Higher Education field.
