Environmental Expo 2017: Citizen actions in favor of Mother Earth

The Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Argentina was invited by the Environmental Department of the municipality of Mendoza City, to participate in the 5th Environmental Expo 2017.

The activity that took place in the Cultural Building was carried out with the objective of promoting the care of Mother Earth. This space counted with the participation of organizations that presented sustainable undertakings, projects, workshops and student exhibitions; also plays and recreational activities.

For their part, the GEAP volunteers installed an information module that was visited by 300 people, who knew about the International Program "Children of Mother Earth" and the 5R (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Reject and Reeducate), also showed crafts made with recyclable material.

Participation and awareness

Students from the Hipólito Irigoyen, San Miguel Institute, Las Heras General, Wings World Day Center and Applied Art Special School made a waste separation practice and indicated the green points existing in the city.

The GEAP through the social program "Children of Mother Earth" promotes the preservation of the ecological balance through citizen, institutional and governmental actions.
