KENNETH ALSTON is a Senior Adviser to the Circular Economy of the Americas Platform and the Foundation for the Sustainable Development of the Americas (ASDF). Specialized in Circular Economy, Cradle to Cradle® Design and Corporate Sustainability. With more than 35 years of experience in the international private sector in sustainable development issues.
Alston began his professional career at SC Johnson as Quality Audit Manager and ended his tenure of over 20 years at SC Johnson as Global Director of Sustainable Product Innovation to join MBDC as Project Director. He later became CEO of MBDC and President of Consulting and Education Services until September 2017.
He has extensive experience as a consultant and educator. He works with universities, start-up companies, Fortune 500 companies, Waste Management, SC Johnson, Shaw and Steelcase.
In addition to the United States, Kenneth has spoken extensively in Europe and Latin America, including Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Netherlands and Peru. In 2015, he was chosen to tour Germany, presenting at various Earth Week events on behalf of the United States Department of State.
Alston's analytical skills combined with real-world experience enable him to provide holistic and relevant advice and guidance in the areas of corporate decision-making to implement and achieve economic, social and environmental value.
His passion is to work with executives, designers and innovators to redo the way of doing things. He has influenced more than 6,000 professionals through his informative presentations and product design workshops.
