"We are clear that to build peace we must develop a comprehensive education that generates happiness for our children, youth and adults," he added.
He said that through this decree the national government carried out various actions aimed at developing personal and collective learning about peace, executed during the first week September.
Activities were developed in all schools in the country using a methodological guide as an educational resource, which included: analysis of national and global realities, knowledge about peace and definitions of commitments for peacebuilding in the personal, family and social areas.
Finally, he highlighted the power that education has in transforming societies:
"Peace is a construction done by all, education is a good way to build peace; but we need the connection of family, of the different organizations and above all, a strong commitment to live entirely in search of the common good ".
