Chile, Surpasses Expectations; Massive Participation of the Chileans in the 4th International Blood Drive Marathon

A total of 2,057 effective blood units was the result of the organization of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) between all regional coordinators, activists, volunteers, blood centers and the support of all Chilean citizens working in the 4th International Blood Drive Marathon, exceeding expectations and increasing the figures by 197% from the ones reached in the previous marathon held during the month of April 2014.

Spain united with the 4th International Blood Drive

Spain was the European country where the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace carried out the 4th International Blood Drive Marathon, along with coordinators, activists, health centers, mass media and volunteers from Madrid, Tarragona, Salou and Barcelona. During October and November 2014, a total of 1,750 effective blood units were collected, surpassing the amount collected during the marathon in April, 2014.

Nicaragua contributed 486 effective blood units during the 4th International Blood Drive

Central America continues to join these blood drives.

Nicaragua formed part of this 4th International Blood Drive Marathon, “Life is in the Blood”, a project carried out by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), contributing 486 effective blood units to save hundreds of lives in this Central American country.

United States was present during the 4th International Blood Drive Marathon

Numerous cities joined the campaign “Life is in the Blood”.

Eight cities in the United States were chosen by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace to carry out the 4th International Blood Drive, “Life is in the Blood”, in coordination with the American Red Cross, Oklahoma Blood Institute, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, Carter Blood Care, South Texas Blood Tissue Center and United Blood Services. 525 effective blood units were obtained in this country.

With the support of 10 cities

With the cooperation of medical centers, hospitals and governmental entities, and the participation of the Activists for Peace, volunteers and the general public, Argentina reached 2,350 effective units of blood, during the 4th International Blood Drive Marathon: “Life is in the Blood”, organized by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) during the months of October and November 2014.
