Nicaragua contributed 486 effective blood units during the 4th International blood drive.
Nicaragua formed part of this 4th International Blood Drive Marathon, “Life is in the Blood”, a project carried out by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), contributing 486 effective blood units to save hundreds of lives in this Central American country.
The Activists for Peace of Nicaragua promoted these drives in different cities of this Central American country: Managua, Masaya, Rivas and El Viejo. They carried out numerous activities which allowed students, businessmen, and the general public to receive information, with the intention to create an opportunity for them to participate in this altruistic event which allows them to demonstrate love for their neighbor.
The drives began on October 30, with the support of health centers of the participating cities, by raising awareness in people and making way for the next International Blood Drive.
