A reception in honor of the official visit to Panama of the Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Yuli Yoel Edelstein, gathered distinguished political authorities, members of the business world, community leaders and members of the Jewish community to spend a night in solidarity with Israel and for the peace of the Middle East.

Dr. William Soto, Ambassador of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, was invited by the Israeli Ambassador to Panama, Alexander Galilee, who expressed his appreciation to Dr. Soto for accepting his invitation and for the work he carries out in favor of world peace.

Knesset Speaker Yuli Yoel Edelstein has previously shared the stage with Dr. Soto in other political, academic and social gatherings. During this event, he was introduced to the Judicial Forums: “New Proposals for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide” as part of the Justice for Peace project, which is promoted by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace.

Dr. Soto also had the opportunity to interact with some of Panama’s local and regional government authorities, including the mayor of Panama City, Jose Blandon Figueroa; the governor of the province of Panama, Rafael Pino Pinto; the President of the National Assembly of Panama, Alfonso Valderrama; the Ambassador of Panama to the United States, Jonathan D. Farrar; and the Ambassador of Panama to Germany, Hermann-Josef Sausen, who were able to share with Dr. William Soto and the international delegation of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace who joined him on this night of solidarity.

The national anthems of Panama and Israel were played at the beginning of the official ceremony, and the flags of both countries were waved while the Israeli Ambassador to Panama made a toast to the Knesset Speaker, and everyone present united in their desire for peace to come to the Middle East soon.
