Mexico: Acayucan City Council joins GEAP programs

In order to promote teamwork for the strengthening of a culture of peace in Mexican society, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) signed a collaboration agreement with the Acayucan municipal presidency.

The meeting was held in the premises of the palace of the municipality, with the presence of Marcos Martinez, municipal president; and on behalf of the GEAP, Francisco Guerra, national coordinator in Mexico, and Reynaldo Ramirez, coordinator in southeastern Veracruz.

Through the International Program Children of Mother Earth, Activists have carried out works with the support of the Department of Ecology and Environment of the Acayucan City Council, such as the World Environmental Education Day (January 26) and World Water Day (March 22).

Working for a culture of peace

As a result of the work that the GEAP has done in the Municipality of Acayucan, its representatives expressed the desire to continue working to improve the quality of life of the fauna and flora of the region.

For his part, Francisco Guerra thanked the municipal presidency for having made the decision to make this alliance with the GEAP to work for a culture of peace.

Also, the municipal president Marcos Martinez said:

«We are at the disposal of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace in all the programs that they will carry out; and I am very happy that they work to improve the environment, which is the responsibility of all of us who inhabit the planet Earth.»

The GEAP in Mexico continues to develop events that strengthen social entrepreneurship and harmony among human beings.
