THE GEAP PROMOTES THE PEACE FOR MOTHER EARTH FAIRS

On January 26, the World Environmental Education Day will be celebrated and in order to promote the importance of this date, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace is organizing the PEACE FOR MOTHER EARTH FAIRS, which will be simultaneously held in more than 15 countries in America, the Caribbean and Spain.

This activity was frame worked within the International Program “Children of Mother Earth” of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, which seeks to promote the importance of ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION to care and protect our Mother Earth, and create awareness on citizen and government participation on the sustainable use of natural resources.

In this edition of the Peace for Mother Earth Fairs, the assistants will have the opportunity to understand the importance of recognizing our Mother Earth as a living being, and of promoting the declaration of her rights, to assure an environmental education based on love for the plant and the environmental values of the 5R’s: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse, Refuse and Re-educate.

These Peace for Mother Earth Fair will be the scenario to demonstrate the artistic and literary work of boys, girls and youths, on the topic: “I love you, Mother Earth,” to express their love for our planet and the will to work united for her care, protection and restoration.

The World Environmental Education Day is established thanks to the work carried out by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), expressed in the global goals that sustain Environmental Education: the Stockholm Declaration, the Belgrade Charter and the Tbilisi Declaration.
