Health centers in El Salvador join the 10th marathon for life

In a strategic alliance with health centers in the country, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in El Salvador, held blood drives with the purpose of contributing to the supply of blood and its components, for people in need, through voluntary donors of safe blood.
 
The staff of the blood banks and the Activists for Peace of San Salvador and Sonsonate came together to run the 10th International Blood Drive Marathon, promoted by the GEAP under the Integral Program "Life is in the Blood"
This program promotes the realization of blood donation days in order to increase citizen participation and promotes a culture of voluntary, altruistic and regular donation of safe blood.

Ilopango receives voluntary donors

On November 19, the blood drive campaign was held in the auditorium La Voz de la Piedra Angular in Ilopango, San Salvador; this activity counted with the support of the blood bank of the Rosales National Hospital, which is part of the National Network of Blood Banks of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of El Salvador.

Workshops benefit the population of Sonsonate

In the city of Sonsonate, GEAP volunteers organized a donation day in the blood bank of the Dr. Jorge Mazzini Villacorta hospital, on November 23 and 30. During these events, 12 effective blood units were obtained that benefit approximately 36 people.

Hospital professionals thanked the GEAP for their work of awareness and promotion of voluntary blood donation and urged Salvadorans to participate in the conference and increase donations that supply the blood bank and save the lives of many people.

Promoting the principle of love and positive values ​​of the human being to achieve awareness, recruitment and retention of voluntary donors is one of the objectives of the GEAP through the realization of blood drives and marathons in the country.
