PEC VIDA encourages a culture of blood donation in El Salvador

Through the Communicational Educational Program for the formation of a culture of voluntary, altruist and regular safe blood donation (PEC VIDA), the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in El Salvador, gave education sessions in the Salvadorian Institute for the Integral Development of the Childhood and Adolescence (ISNA in its Spanish acronym).

As part of the activities of the organizational fields, the volunteers of the GEAP, visited different headquarters of the ISNA to make known to the staff the importance that has for society to encourage a culture of blood donation. The awareness marathons were carried out in the months of October and November in:

ISNA headquarters, Municipality of Soyapango, San Salvador, on October 23.

ISNA headquarters, Costa Rica Colony, San Salvador, October 24; and on November 9 an informative stand was installed.

ISNA headquarters, Santa Ana, el Salvador, on November 6.

Donating the Sap of Life

On November 24, a blood drive was carried out under the framework of the 10th International Marathon “Life is in the Blood”. This solidary campaign had the support of the blood bank of the Salvadorian Red Cross.

The GEAP thanks the voluntary donor of the ISNA, who demonstrated their compromise to save lives.
