Global call for the second annual Peace Integration Summit in Paraguay

CUMIPAZ 2016 will reinforce universal justice, integral education of the human being and the protection of Mother Earth

With this conviction, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) carries out the global call for the second annual Peace Integration Summit (CUMIPAZ), which will be held in Asuncion, Republic of Paraguay.

CUMIPAZ 2016, will be held from October 4th to  October 8th, at the Bicameral Hall of the National Congress, emblematic building which will bring together global leaders, academic experts, senators, judges and parliamentarians, prominent politicians, diplomats, and peace activists from various countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe.

This high-level meeting will consist of the First Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Encounter, the Diplomatic, Parliamentary and Policy Session, the Educational Session (International Alliance of Universities for Peace - ALIUP) and the Justice and Democracy Session; all considered fundamental themes for building peace.

Also, at the inaugural gala a Charity Symphony Concert will be offered as a welcome, and to close this multidisciplinary encounter, a tour to the Iguazu Falls will be given, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

For the development of the sessions, Dr. William Soto, president of CUMIPAZ, has called personalities and authorities of different nations, for the submission of proposals, dialogue and discussion of issues in order to target possible solutions and new contributions for the promotion and defense of human rights, the strengthening of Universal Justice, education in values ​​and the protection of Mother Earth.

The proposals will be made on the basis of respect, tolerance and diversity, in close connection with The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the UN; these, will form a consensus proposal to be presented to regional and national government agencies and the highest levels of multilateral and international power.

During CUMIPAZ 2016, the results of the agreements, projects and actions, which were identified during the first edition, Chile 2015, will also be assessed and celebrated. (See: Declaration of CUMIPAZ 2015)

The call is open to representatives of supranational and multilateral agencies, states, governments, NGOs, and educational, business, cultural and religious sectors; and the civil society. (See: General Program)
