Education: GEAP promotes the formation of integral human beings

Volunteers from the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in the Dominican Republic, conducted simultaneous educational activities under the programs: Children of Mother Earth and Educating to Remember, at the O&M Hostos School in the municipality of San Felipe de Puerto Plata.

Three educational forums were held focused on the topic: “The Holocaust and Human Rights.”

More than 200 people, including students, parents and teachers, participated in these activities that were carried out with the aim of promoting, through education, the formation of integral human beings and activists for peace, within the framework of values and universal principles, for the defense of human rights and Mother Earth.

Through the installation of the Environmental Fair, the volunteers promoted the Environmental Movement “Guardians for the Peace of Mother Earth.” In addition, they gave educational talks on the 5R’s (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Reject and Re-educate).

Three educational forums focused on the theme “The Holocaust and Human Rights” were also held, with the aim of generating reflections on the practice and defense of universal human rights and human dignity, based on the study of the history of human rights, Holocaust and other genocides.

Finally, the photographic gallery “The Holocaust and other genocides” was presented, showing what was lived by millions of human beings in Armenia, Cambodia, Rwanda and World War II.
