Cultural acts to promote the protection of the environment
In recognition of the celebration of World Environment Day, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in the Dominican Republic, held a cultural and environmental event in the esplanade of the Pedro Mir Library of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (Universidad Primada of America and the only state of the country).
A group of volunteers held cultural events, dynamics and songs alluding to the care of the planet, and also presented the Proclamation of Constitution of the Rights of Mother Earth, a declaration document for the worldwide recognition of Mother Earth as a living being and her inalienable rights.
Teachers, students and other members of society were participants and gave their electronic signature in support of this work.
The GEAP’s commitment is to work for the peace of the human family and of Mother Earth, and to help restore the bonds of love and harmony with her and with other living beings.
