In Colombia the Activists for peace make the World Blood Donor Day a national celebration
The media, health institutions and thousands of volunteers, joined to the call to give life to humanity with blood donations.
Donating blood is a necessity which requires creating awareness in every human being. The accidents and surgical interventions demand an immediate solution. For this reason every year the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) make a call in more than twenty countries where they have representations, so that in alliance with health institutions, blood banks, governmental entities, private companies, media and thousands of volunteers, carry out constant journeys and two International Blood Drive Marathons (June and November), which raises awareness in the population of that requirement of life which can only be voluntarily donated by an aware human being with an altruist heart.
In Colombia, the Activists for peace have assumed the voluntary role, not only to contribute a pint of blood but at the same time to participate through promotions in different creative ways, starting to make aware the household and also joining to impact cities and finally all the country.
Recognize and learn the habit to donate life with safe blood
These constant activities result in an increase of the number of voluntary donors, that have recognized the importance of being conscious of health care to keep participating in these activities and to acquire the good habit of taking care of their health, also to obtain the happiness of being able to save up to four lives who will benefit from their pint of blood.
