Bolivia | Actions to prevent water pollution
International Coastal Cleanup Day
With the objective of avoiding the increase in water pollution, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace in Bolivia, through its environmental program, and in conjunction with the Secretariat of the Environment of the municipality of Santa Cruz, celebrated the International Coastal Cleanup Day.
The volunteers in Santa Cruz visited the banks of the Piraí River, cleaned and collected garbage that permanently contaminates the tourist center. During the day, they counted on the defense of the Bolivian Police and the Municipal Guard.
In Trinidad, Department of Beni, activists, and officials of City Hall carried out the cleaning of Laguna Suarez and its beach, one of the most important nature reserves in the city. They collected large amounts of plastic.
