With the aim of promoting music as a tool that transforms people's lives, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) grouped international musicians and singers in the Legislative Palace, home of the National Assembly of Deputies of Panama, to offer the Symphonic Concert of Integration for Peace in the Inaugural Gala of CUMIPAZ 2017.
The musical show was conducted by the GEAP Symphony Orchestra (OSEMAP), made up of more than 60 people of different ages and nationalities who develop the social project that forms part of the program "The power of music for the peace and happiness of the integral human being ".
The concert began with the intonation of the National Anthem of the Republic of Panama, concert which was attended by the speakers of CUMIPAZ, personalities, authorities, academics, peace activists and the general public.
The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Yanibel Abrego Smith, was in charge of the opening words. During his participation she expressed that as parliament they created a division with the purpose of promoting the culture and the music of the nation.
As host of the evening, GEAP's Director General Gabriela Lara welcomed those present on behalf of GEAP Executive President William Soto and mentioned that one of the aims of the musical program is to plant in the heart of the people principles and values that harmonize the individual with himself, with his neighbor and with Mother Earth to achieve peace. "
Music for Peace
The event began with the presentation of traditional dances and songs, which expressed the joy and culture of the Panamanian people, by the Folkloric Group of the National Assembly of Deputies of Panama.
The first musical number of the OSEMAP was the GEAP’s Anthem "United for Peace", followed by an international repertoire on a frequency 432 Hertz, a musical tuning that harmonizes with the natural frequency of planet Earth.
Amanecer Borincano; New York New York; Luna de Xelaju, Dry Your Tears Afrika, Hava Nagila, El Pajarillo and Pollera Colorá were some of the musical pieces presented by OSEMAP. The event was attended by the Ñambuy Group, a Bolivian folk ensemble that delighted the audience with their traditional melodies.

The project "The Power of Music for the Peace and Happiness of the Integral Human Being" seeks to raise awareness among individuals and societies about the importance of producing and listening to music with positive messages that contribute to the formation of values, ethical principles, moral and spiritual, to present and future generations.

OSEMAP, to the rhythm of violins, flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones,violas, cello and double bass, ended the event by Performing: Viva Panama!
