See GalleryThe mayoralty of Panama opened its doors to receive the 3rd Edition of the Peace Integration Summit - CUMIPAZ 2017, to be held from 16 to 21 October at the headquarters of Parlatino with the participation of world leaders and parliamentary, academic, judicial, political, and civil society authorities.
With a cocktail party held at the Mi Pueblito Municipal Tourist Complex, place that represents the culture and history of the various customs of the provinces of Panama.
Deputy Mayor Raisa Banfield of the municipality of Panama, in representation of the mayor of the capital district, José I. Blandón, welcomed the general director of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, Gabriela Lara, the GEAP coordinators, and national and international delegates.
Banfield said that it is an honor for the mayor to host the Peace Integration Summit in his country and hopes that Panama will be a space for proposals for peace.
The event ended with the presentation of the set of Folkloric Projections of the municipality, under the direction of Euclides Calderón, who played the Cumbia and El Punto dance, emblematic dance of the country.
The summit will begin this Monday, October 16 with the Science for the Preservation of Life of Mother Earth and Human Beings session beginning at 8:00 a.m. The sessions will be broadcast live from the official website, www.cumipaz.com and the Facebook account @globalembassyofactivists
