The Peace Integration Summit was officially presented before Panamanian authorities
The Peace Integration Summit projects Panama as a cradle of ideas and as the world capital of peace for 2017
In a special dinner and with national government authorities from the legislative and judicial, business, academic, rectors from the Association of Private Universities of Panama and members of the International Alliance of Universities for Peace (ALIUP), the Peace Integration Summit, Panama 2017, was officially presented.
In the Charges hall of the Sheraton Hotel, the board of directors of CUMIPAZ and of the five sessions that make up the summit, spoke in detail of what this multidisciplinary encounter for peace of the nations and of Mother Earth, which will take place from October 16th to the 21st, 2017, at the Latin American Parliamentary.
During the opening of the event, Mrs. Gabriela Lara, director general of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace, organizers of CUMIPAZ, in its third edition (See CUMIPAZ – 2015 and CUMIPAZ – 2016), indicated that it is important to hold the Peace Integration Summit with these characteristics:
“We consider that the Peace Integration Summit is needed to create a space to reflect, deliver proposals and initiatives regarding the integral peace of the human being which is a necessity based on the condition that our society is going through at a worldwide level.”
THEMATICS OF CUMIPAZ 2017
With the aim of achieving the union among the nations and the integrated work to construct an integral, durable peace, and boost a sustainable development and safeguard Mother Earth, CUMIPAZ 2017 will revolve around five main topics, developed through the sessions of the Summit and through diverse methodologies that facilitate the exchange of ideas and thoughts in favor of peace, wellbeing and happiness of the human family and of Mother Earth.
Elias Nazrala, coordinator of the Diplomatic, Political and Parliamentary Session, stated the interest of this session in achieving a an integral global governance that can be studied and analyzed through the subjects that will be given and he also highlighted the honorable support of the Chancellery of the Republic of Panama and the support of the PARLATINO, the Ministry of Tourism, the Panama Canal Authority and the National Assembly of Representatives.
Within the session in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility, Mr. Ivan Sarmiento said that in CUMIPAZ 2017 will launch the International Alliance of Corporate Social Responsibility and a Sustainable Development for the Strengthening of Peace (ARSEPAZ) and that some of the topics that will be addressed.
On her part, Dr. Sonia Real, extended an invitation to participate in the Justice and Democracy Session that is compromised in maintaining the level and quality of its participants, with the aim of creating objectives for the Program Justice for Peace. (See program description)
Integral education plays a fundamental roe within the goals proposed by CUMIPAZ, given the urgency of social transformation that bases its peace purposes in the individual and that is projected to form human beings committed to their environment. For this reason, Mrs. Karita Machado stated that the participants of this educational session are students, professors, universities, ministers of education and regulation agencies of higher education of different countries and continents.
The dinner of this official presentation of the Peace Integration Summit was enlivened by a group of musicians that are part of the Symphonic Orchestra of the GEAP (OSEMAP), that will present themselves during the Inaugural Gala of CUMIPAZ 2017, an event that will benefit a nonprofit organization in Panama City. The explanation of the participation of the OSEMAP within the Summit was given by Mr. Joel Lara, coordinator of the benefit gala.
To conclude, William Soto, executive president of the GEAP, thanked those present and asked them to participate in the Summit, he said:
“We have chosen Panama as the host nation for the integration of peace and a sustainable development because we truly believe that this beautiful country is the bridge of the world. We invite you to participate in this Summit and to construct together a path for the peace of the human family.”
