The GEAP continues working on the formation of a voluntary and regular blood donation culture
The Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGRO) is in the 7th International Blood Drive Marathon and together with the Blood Transfusion Medicine Center (CMTS), carried out on June 1, a blood collection activity in the facilities of the Academic Unit of Medicine No. 2, with the purpose of remembering that the donation is a fraternal relationship that unites people of all conditions.
Voluntary blood donation has become a bond for the institution so that people in different countries join in solidarity in order to promote love for life and respect for human dignity, improving the quality of life of millions of patients having safe and stocked blood inventories.
The blood drive begins with the evaluation of the pre-donors, adapts to health needs. After this, they went to phlebotomy, where 450 c.c. The vital fluid that will save the life of three people.
It was attended by important media such as Televisa, TV Azteca and Radio and Television of Guerrero (RTG), who in this way do their job to increase the population's knowledge about blood donation, thus participating in the creation of a voluntary and habitual culture from its field of action.
