Hermelinda Alvarenga

Hermelinda Alvarenga de Ortega fue viceministra de Educación Superior del Paraguay (2012-2013). Actualmente es vicerrectora de la Universidad Nihon Gakko y secretaria pro témpore de la Alianza Internacional Universitaria por la Paz (ALIUP).

En 2007 asumió la Secretaría Pro Témpore de la Red de Escuelas asociadas a la UNESCO. Presidió la delegación paraguaya en el Foro Mundial de la Juventud, llevado a cabo en Tolouse, Francia.

El Honorable Iris Y. Martínez fue juramentado en su primer término en el Senado del Estado de Illinois el 8 de enero de 2003 para representar a la gente del Distrito Legislativo 20ma de Illinois. Su elección marcó la

jueza, abogada y notaria guatemalteca, quien tiene un historial de sentencias emblemáticas contra militares acusados de violaciones a los derechos humanos en Guatemala, entre otros casos relevantes.
