Judicial Forum | Respect for human dignity and human rights
The Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in Torreon, Mexico, carried out the Judicial Forum “Human Dignity, Presumption of Innocence and Human Rights,” at the headquarters of the Faculty of Medicine of the UA of C, where it gathered more than 200 people, among them, members of the Mexican Army, Municipal Police and Coahuila force.
These forums aim to design and implement mechanisms with tangible solutions that transcend the national and international community, for a more humane, prompt and effective justice, for the welfare, peace and happiness of the human family.
Initially, Francisco Guerra, national coordinator of the GEAP in Mexico, presented the Justice for Peace Program, which seeks to review, update and amend the laws of different countries.
Speakers at the Forum
The forum was attended by distinguished personalities, who have a wide experience in the judicial field:
- President of the Inter-American Bar of Lawyers, Rubén Pacheco.
- Former Magistrate of the Superior Court of Justice of the State of Coahuila, Abelardo Hernández.
- From the Human Rights Commission in Torreón, Jennifer Bretado.
- Director of the Youth Institute, Ensenada Baja California, René Ibraham Cardona.
Culture of legality
Each of the speakers developed proposals for the purpose of designing and implementing mechanisms with tangible solutions that transcend the national and international community in the judicial area.
Finally, the GEAP gave recognition to those who in some way are collaborating to strengthen the administration of justice for peace, and promote respect for human dignity and human rights.
