On September 12, 2014, the Forum "Educating to Remember" was carried out in Paraguay. The event was held at the Catholic University Campus in Pedro Juan Caballero, capital of the Amambay Department, before the massive presence of students of the institution.
These students were made aware of the dangers of racial discrimination, xenophobia and intolerance which has caused and continues to cause millions of deaths worldwide; and that it is a priority for governments, groups and intergovernmental organizations, to take action to prevent and combat them.
The Director of the Chair, Dr. Lucio Vergara, also attended the meeting on behalf of Ms. Leila Guerrero, Director of the Academic Unit of Pedro Juan Caballero; and Karita Machado in representation of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace.
At the end of the Forum, the students and authorities present were invited to take a tour of the photo exhibition of the Holocaust during World War II, as a clear example to show everything that was previously discussed.
