Bolivia: Activists for peace promote the care of Mother Earth
In Santa Cruz de la Sierra, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) celebrated World Environment Day, where 150 people participated in the activity that was carried out with the objective of promoting the care and preservation of Mother Earth.
Volunteers of the GEAP and the Municipal Secretary of the Environment organized the event that brought together students from different universities in the region.
During the ceremony, the national coordinator of the GEAP, Joel Lara, announced the official presentation of the Inter-American Environmental Charter and the Constitution of the Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth, before the Organization of American States. (See Document here)
As part of the activity, those present were invited to reflect on the 10 environmental mandates that should be part of the daily life of Bolivians. Likewise, the activists for peace participated in a contest of murals on canvas, where they drew environmental values.
Simultaneously, activists for peace in the city of Trinidad attended an environmental fair, where the Municipal Autonomous Government of this town gave recognition to the executive president of the GEAP, William Soto, for the work he does in favor of the human family and Mother Earth.
