Activists for Peace began a course for promoters of Blood Donation

The Activists for Peace in Resistencia, Argentina, began a training course on blood donation in the framework of the project “Life is in the Blood”, of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP).

This course was given the specialist Maria Ines Lubary of the Hemotherapy Center of the Perrando Hospital, who highlighted the importance of the work carried out by the GEAP, and that this training is making history because of the dimension and work responsibilities when promoting voluntary, altruistic and habitual blood donation.  At the end of the training, the volunteers had a broader understanding of the way blood works and they could see the importance of this element in human life.

The training offered to the Activists for Peace has different stages which will be conducted according to a pre-established agenda, which aims to broaden the knowledge of participants and help them become suitable professionals in order to carry out the project “Life is in the Blood”.

After this training the GEAP volunteers can participate along with the Hemotherapy Center in speeches they will give in schools, businesses and community centers, thus aiding in something fundamental: raising awareness of blood donation.
