THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR “MEDIATORS FOR PEACE” IS HELD IN NAGUANAGUA, VENEZUELA
With the objective of raising awareness among public and private organizations, the media and educational institutions in Venezuela, on May 30 the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace held the international seminar "Mediators for Peace" at Eladio Aleman Sucre Cultural Center in the city of Nagunagua, Carabobo.
The event participants included Dr. William Soto, Global Ambassador; Dr. Alberto Barradas; Leonardo Prieto, President of the NGO Redes por la Vida; Ambassador Julio Cesar Pineda; Gerardo Ramirez, Councillor for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV); Dr. Miguel Truzman, Second Vice President of the Confederation of Jewish Associations of Venezuela; Camilo Montoya, Prosecutor of the Superior Tribunal of Bogota, Colombia; Dr. Manuel Diaz, Director-General of ECOVISION; and Ruth Bermudez, Global Embassy of Activists for Peace Coordinator in Venezuela, who all shared with the audience their experiences regarding the mediation, negotiation and resolution of all types of conflicts.
"Just as we train professionals in different fields through the power of education, we must also train mediators of peace, peace activists, and therefore create a just, egalitarian, inclusive and peaceful society,"
expressed Global Ambassador Dr. William Soto.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to Dr. William Soto from different organizations that have been benefited by the activities and projects of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace in Venezuela, including Quimbiotec, as well as blood banks in different regions of Venezuela through the blood drives of the international campaign "Life is in the Blood."
Furthermore, the Municipality of San Joaquin, Carabobo acknowledged the work carried out by the Global Embassy of Activists in favor of the human race, and the Municipality of Naguanagua granted Dr. William Soto the honorary Saman Naguanagua Pin for his outstanding international trajectory as an ambassador of peace.
