ALIUP expands in Argentina: Higher Institute of Professional and Technical Formation signs an agreement for an education for Peace

The International Alliance of Universities for Peace (ALIUP) extends its work in Argentina, with the union of the Higher Institute of Professional and Technical Formation No. 9-002 "Tomás Godoy Cruz" (TGC) in the city of Mendoza, by signing an agreement to develop an educational program that promotes values in Higher Education planning.

Recognizing Mother Earth as a living being, and the environmental action of the 5 R’s (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Reject and Re-educate) were the central themes that the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) promoted in Bolivia, through educational workshops as part of the celebration of the World Environment Day (June 5); involving around 3,000 students from various schools.

As a sign of interest in the future of Mother Earth, approximately 1,600 students and teachers of the Republic of El Salvador participated in activities organized by the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), to celebrate World Environment Day (June 5).

315 students and teachers took part in this workshop, which also was attended by distinguished personalities as Ms. Consuelo Ocampo, head of the Department Unico with the Productive Sector.; Ms. Sandoval Anexel Rojo, on behalf of the Councilor for Social Participation of the Municipal Women; and Luis Rafael Salazar Sevilla, state coordinator of the Program for Strengthening Quality Basic Education.
