Heroes for life receive tribute on World Blood Donor Day

To celebrate the World Blood Donor Day (14 of June), the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), carried out diverse events along with the blood bank and health centers in Latin America, United States, and Spain, to pay tribute to voluntary, altruistic, and habitual donors.

In Costa Rica the celebration of the World Donor Day added new heroes for life.

In Costa Rica, the Global Embassy of Activist for Peace (GEAP) along with the National Blood Bank, united on June 14th to celebrate the World Blood Donor Day, with a blood drive, where more than 200 people belonging to private companies and to the metropolitan area, voluntarily joined to save lives.

In order to motivate habitual blood donors to continue donating blood, and encourage people who are already healthy to start donating, the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP) in El Salvador, attended the celebration of World Blood Donor Day on June 14, an event organized by the Ministry of Health (MINSAL).

“Let’s celebrate life with Mother Earth” was the call of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace (GEAP), this past June 5th, “World Environment Day”; date in which the Activists for Peace in different regions of the Mexican Republic carried out actions in favor of a culture of a sustainable green citizenship in harmony with Mother Earth; among those activities they planted trees and held educational marathons.
