The Global Embassy of Activists for Peace created the project “Traces to Remember,” with the objective of maintaining alive the testimony of the survivors of the Holocaust to transmit, to the present and future generations, the universal lessons of this unfortunate chapter, that by its characteristics and conditions divided the history of humanity into a before and an after.
This display consists of the exhibition of a plaque in the form of the Star of David, that contains the hand prints of a survivor of the Holocaust, just like the handprints of one of their children or of one of the their grandchildren (and of one of the great grandchildren, if there are any), as an evidence that Nazism was not able to extinguish the Hebrew people. The plaque is accompanied by laminate that contains text with a brief description of what happened in the Holocaust and a summary of the story of the survivor.
